After a couple of years of expensive maintenance on Saltie, our dayboat, it was decided that she be retired from boating and be given a new life, out of the water, as a unique community meeting space. She will offer a more relaxed space for local groups and workshops and should work well with our existing high spec Cedar Room. On the day that Marple and Chiltern arrived, we took advantage of the crane and had Saltie lifted out of the water and repositioned in the old sensory garden area, next to the orchard. She will then be undergoing planned alterations to fit her out as a meeting area
